Sitting just over 300 ft from home plate in Boston’s Fenway Park sits the highest wall in all of major league baseball. Origianally just called the wall, the “Green Monster” acts as a target for right handed power hitters considering the distance is relatively short for home runs. I was able to see the famous Green Monster just this past week as The home team Boston Red Sox beat the Tampa Bay Rays 8-5, Tampa bay designated hitter Willy Aybar was the only one able to use the Green Monster to his advantage when he hit a home run in the top of the 8th inning. The Red Sox win capped off a great visit to boston.
